Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring "The One Ring To Rule Them All"

When the first LOTR movie came out, I was 9 years old and wasn't obsessed with movie like I am now. When I saw Fellowship I must admit that I was not impressed at first and I did not understand all the hype and praise for the movie. Now that I am 10 years older, I thought it would be a good idea to return to LOTR and give it another shot. It was a great idea indeed.

Dear Zachary, A Letter to a Son About His Father

Ever so often a film comes around that shakes my core. It makes me deal with tough issues that sometimes we don't want to talk about. It gets to my heart and plays with my emotions like a punching bag. It makes me reflect on myself and my life. It makes me reflect on the world and wonder why? and how? It makes me suffer for not only those involved but for me and I question what have I done? Dear Zachary is one of those films.

Se7en "Oh, he didn't know"

It is always good to go back and watch a film you love. A lot of times there is something new that you didn't catch the first time or you see something in a new perspective. This time it was fun because I was able to watch it with someone who had never seen it before. So it was nice to return to the Fincher classic: Se7en.

The Searchers "That'll Be The Day"

One of the reasons that I have really enjoyed Netflix is because I get to have access to all these classic movies that otherwise would cost way too much money to see. Now I had heard all about John Wayne and seen hi on The Great Movie Ride but never had I seen him in action. So this movie had a lot of expectations and it certainly did not disappoint.

Kung Fu Panda 2 "But, I just caught Kung Fu!"

I had the awesome opportunity to go to the theater today. My family wanted to go see Thor but since I had already seen that I decided to check out Kung Fu Panda 2. After enjoying the first one I hoped that the second one would be able to live up to expectations and be awesome.

Bridesmaids "I'm not confident which end that came out of."

About a week ago my sister and I decided that it was time to go to the movies. We were both back from college and trying to find something to see that would be entertaining. We found Bridesmaids and saw that it had gotten generally good reviews and we decided to check it out. When I got to the theater I was worried because it was filled with people over 40. I was worried we made a huge mistake.

The Hangover Part II

Oh it feels great to be reviewing again! It truly is fun but after doing Pulp I thought that I needed to do a more recent film for my friends and because I need to diversify my blog (even though I only did one post).

So one of the many sequels coming out this summer is Hangover Part II. The first Hangover was a surprise comedy hit for 2008 that took the nation by storm. It boosted the R-rated comedy to new levels and reminded everyone that raunchy can be funny without being shocking, will this sequel be able to continue that trend?

Pulp Fiction

Hello again everyone! If you read my first blog then welcome back and if your new to me then welcome to my blog. I had an old one but got rid of it to focus on my schoolwork, thankfully now that it is summer I have plenty of time to focus on movies again! So I thought I would open this blog with one of the greatest films of all time: Pulp Fiction.

This is a film that will always be special to me. My Dad who loves movies too would always tell me about it. So I grew up hearing about it but I never saw it until high school. I had these big expectations for this movie to be awesome and luckily they were met.
